We’re looking for senior AI engineers to design and build LLM-powered features and agents for the software that service businesses, fitness clubs, retailers and warehouses run every day.
You’ll take features from idea to production: retrieval over a business’s own data and assistants that act through our APIs, plus the evaluation and safeguards that keep them accurate, secure and affordable to run.
What you’ll do
- Design, build and ship LLM-powered features and agents in Verasoft products, end to end.
- Build retrieval (RAG) pipelines over business data, with sound chunking, embeddings, ranking and access controls.
- Connect models to our products through tool calling, APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), with clear limits on what an agent can do.
- Build evaluation into every feature: test sets, automated evals and regression checks that run in CI, working with our AI QA engineers.
- Guard against prompt injection, data leakage and unsafe output, and design human review where it matters.
- Monitor quality, latency and cost in production, and improve them through prompt, model and caching choices.
- Choose the right hosted or open-weight model for each use case.
- Share what you learn and help other engineers build with AI.
What you’ll bring
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building LLM-powered features in production.
- Strong Python or TypeScript, and solid API and backend design.
- Hands-on experience with RAG, vector search, tool calling and agent orchestration, using a framework or your own.
- Experience designing evaluations and measuring model quality, beyond demos.
- Working knowledge of the security risks specific to LLM applications.
- Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to explain trade-offs to non-specialists.
Nice to have
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience deploying AI on AWS or Cloudflare.
- Experience fine-tuning models (LoRA or similar).
- A background in business software such as point of sale, billing, scheduling or HR.
