Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist
Plan and run manual and automated testing that keeps Verasoft software reliable, fast and easy to use.
Services
We’re looking for experienced software QA specialists with a keen eye for detail. You’ll test our applications thoroughly to find bugs and see them fixed, improve performance and make our software easier to use.
You’ll work closely with development teams and stakeholders to establish rigorous QA processes and standards, and you’ll communicate clearly with colleagues around the world.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans that ensure our software meets its specifications.
- Design, develop and run test cases, scripts, plans and procedures, both manual and automated.
- Identify, document and track bugs, and give development teams detailed reports and recommendations for resolving them.
- Run performance tests to make sure applications scale, stay reliable and hold up under load.
- Test usability and compatibility across platforms and devices.
- Keep improving our QA processes, tools and methods.
- Work closely with developers, product managers and stakeholders on quality standards, and explain complex technical information clearly to teams around the world.
- Monitor key QA metrics and report on software quality and areas to improve.
What you’ll bring
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in software QA.
- Proven experience developing and running comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methods, tools and processes.
- Exceptional spoken and written English, and the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
- A highly analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.
- The ability to manage several projects at once.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance or security testing.
- Familiarity with agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Coding and scripting experience for test automation.
- Strong organizational skills.
